Yesterday was a beautiful day on Lake Norman and a marvelous day for a wedding!! The Bride & Groom were relaxed on their wedding day which is exactly what I promised 🙂 I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and spending time with both of their families. They had an intimate ceremony with about 50 guests and then the amazing reception began catered by students from Johnston Wales here in Charlotte. Their staff was phenomenal! Watching Tani and Andy spend time with family from all of the world, dancing, singing, and just having a good time made for a perfect evening. I wish this sweet couple a world of happiness 🙂 I am certainly not a professional photographer but I have a few below! More professional to come later!

Today is a beautiful day in Charlotte for the very special wedding day of Tatiana and Andy 🙂 I had the pleasure of spending some time with the Bride & Groom last night after conducting their wedding rehearsal – they are so ready and so in love. Surrounded by their family and closest friends, they ate and drank and prepared for today! I have loved being a part of this special time in their lives and can’t wait to celebrate with them this evening!

Not the most exciting part of the wedding planning process 🙂 But definitely necessary for all of your out-of-town guests and even those who are in town but want to be close to all of the action! For all of you Charlotte Brides, go no further than The Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown for your wedding room block. Their staff is phenomenal, the rooms are all suites, shuttle runs for free uptown until 11:00, and their coordinator, Lori, will take all of the stress of you and your parents 🙂

Gracious and lovely are two words that describe both the rooms and the staff at this fabulous uptown hotel. Not your typical extended-stay lodging, the Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown features a full-service bar that made the difference for our out-of-town friends and family for my daughter’s April 9th wedding. Our guests were able to gather after the evening events in a beautiful, spacious atmosphere with efficient, friendly bartenders and outside patio space as well. The hotel common areas and rooms are impeccably maintained. The two-bedroom suites were perfect for the bridal party and families traveling together. The King Executive Suite was so roomy with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi tub. Just what the doctor ordered for the sometimes frazzled parents of the bride! Every staff member was professional and enthusiastic – a perfect 10 in my book. The area sales coordinator, Lori, went above and beyond helping me with hospitality bags for guests, keeping us apprised of guest bookings, and even delivering a forgotten package to the church on rehearsal day! Everyone at the hotel made it clear to us that we were important guests!
I would highly recommend this hotel for a group event or for just a fun weekend in Charlotte. I would definitely choose for an extended-stay! It’s a home away from home.
